City Guide: Rome
Roscioli Caffè
For coffee, snacks, and sweets, Roscioli Caffè does all three more than well.
When the owners of popular bakery, deli and eatery Roscioli (on Via dei Giubbonari) decided to expand and open a coffee bar/pastry shop down the street, food lovers of Rome rejoiced. The typical attention to detail and top-quality ingredients which have gained them fame have been repeated in this new venture and despite only being open in 2016, it is already a hotspot for gastronomes of the city. The coffee is excellent and the cakes and pastries are to-die-for: don’t miss the Maritozzi, a sweet bun stuffed with whipped cream. There are also wonderful wines and savory options including fresh oysters, seafood, and sandwiches.
