City Guide: Paris
Popelini
Cream-filled profiteroles in a range of flavors are the singular offering at this boutique patisserie.
Popelini was an Italian pastry maker who developed the airy Pâte à Choux dough used for cream puffs, or profiteroles, which are the sole offering at this boutique. The daily rotation of flavors range from classic vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, to more exotic passion fruit, rose, and praline. They are a sweet alternative to macarons, and are an adorable and always-welcome hostess gift.
