City Guide: Paris
Les Nautes
This is where to go for drinking with a view—that of the sparkling Seine.
Perched on the Right Bank of the Seine facing the charming seventeenth-century façades of the Île Saint-Louis, this space was first the historical Saint-Paul port, then a horse-feeding trough, and a navigation station before falling into disuse. In 2014, Les Nautes opened in this Célestins house. The interior features a spectacular view of the Seine glittering with reflected lights, contemporary tin ceiling details, and wooden tables that, when aligned end to end, showcase the nearly 5,000 square feet perfect for people watching and picnicking in the setting sun.
