La Tavernaccia da Bruno
You'll leave La Tavernaccia feeling like you've been treated like a regular.
La Tavernaccia delivers just the kind of experience you hope for when you envision dinner in Rome. This cozy, family-run trattoria, now run by the daughters Patrizia and Paola, has been serving up good value plates to Romans since 1968 which is due not only to the wonderful food, but the humble and attentive service. Situated near Porta Portese, in the far reaches of Trastevere, the no-nonsense menu is written daily by hand and frequently includes ribbons of fresh pappardelle with wild boar, crispy pizzas, and hearty meats like the wood roasted suckling pig and grilled lamb.
