City Guide: Rome
La Pergola
One of Italy's best Michelin starred restaurants situated atop the Cavalieri Hotel.
The only restaurant in Rome to be awarded three Michelin stars, La Pergola offers the very best of fine dining under the expert eye of top German chef Heinz Beck. The opulent dining room is perched on the top floor of the luxury 5-star Rome Cavalieri hotel (a Waldorf-Astoria property) ensuring breathtaking views across the Eternal City and, of course, impeccable service. With a cellar of over 60,000 wines (!) and dishes based on extravagant ingredients such as foie gras, lobster, truffles and caviar, La Pergola is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The 10-course tasting menu might be tear-inducingly expensive, but it is without a doubt the best way to truly appreciate Beck’s amazing creations.
