Gelateria dei Gracchi
When it comes to authentic gelato artigianale near the Vatican, look no further than Gelateria dei Gracchi.
Not all gelato in Rome is equal and you’re quite spoiled for choice in this neighborhood when it comes to authentic gelato artigianale. Our favorites at Gelateria dei Gracchi have been the innovative ones: Mela e Cannella (apple and cinnamon), Mandorla Tostada all’Arancia (orange and toasted almonds) and Ricotta e Pere (ricotta and pear). All your classics are here too like their famous Sicilian pistachio and, slightly more exciting, Meringa al Pistacchio with chunks of pistachio blended into meringue gelato. One other important thing to try, the gelateria’s decadent bon bons.
