City Guide: Rome
Divin Ostilia
A postage stamp sized enoteca where the wine and the food are standout.
If seeking a good glass of vino near the Colosseum you really can’t go wrong with this postage stamp sized wine bar. Although there are outside tables for those balmy summer nights, the inviting atmosphere inside, with its walls lined with bottles of wine, is ideal for the cooler months. With a wide selection of wines covering all corners of Italy and very reasonable prices, especially given the helpful service and the tourist-laden location, Divin Ostilia is a true find. If you need a little more than just liquid refreshment there is also a solid, affordable menu of antipasti (crostini, bruschetta, salads, cured meats and cheeses) and pastas and the lovely staff are more than willing to help with both wine and food recommendations.
